Check Please! – Dating can be hard. Especially when your date happens to be a raging kleptomaniac, or your grandmother’s bridge partner, or a mime. Check Please follows a series of blind dinner dates that couldn’t get any worse — until they do. Could there possibly be a light at the end of the tunnel?
Raft of the Medusa -Based on an actual event, The Raft of the Medusa is the story of a collection of British teenagers who find themselves lost in a lifeboat out in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean in September of 1940. During the destruction of British cities from the relentless bombings by the Nazi Blitzkrieg in the early years of World War II, hundreds of British children were evacuated from Great Britain and put on ocean liners and sent off to Canada, where they could escape the wrath of the Nazi bombing campaigns.
This story is about one of those evacuation ships that was loaded full of children. The ship was named “The Medusa”.
“The Medusa” was savagely torpedoed by a Nazi submarine
during a surprise attack on the high seas, and the ill – fated ship sunk. Only a very few of the children were able to escape the ship which burned quickly and sank. However, thirteen children end up in a small life-boat, lost and alone,
out in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean
